Then the one seated on the throne said, “Look, I am making everything new.” He also said, “Write, because these words are faithful and true.” —Revelation 21:5 If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has passed away, and see, the new has come! —2 Corinthians 5:17 When sin entered the world and Adam and Eve were cast out of the garden, God sent them away with a promise to restore what evil had taken. The fulfillment of this promise was inaugurated with Jesus’s saving work on the cross and His resurrection, but the road to restoration does not end with eternal life. God has placed in our hearts the hope of making everything new, and we now get to uncover what that promise means for our lives now and for eternity.
